Road and MTB Program Info – Brief information outlining our different Spring 2012 programing

Road Program

Stagiaire (Competitive, Traveling) Team

Ages: 15-18

Pro Team Affiliation: Panache

Training and Racing Level: High

Level of Commitment required: High

Number of Team Races: 10. Includes at least one out of state race and Nationals in Augusta, Georgia

Training Days: Mondays & Thursdays

Begins: April (with 4 day pre-season camp on Western Slope, cost not included in season fees)

Ends: Mid August

Cost: Approximately $875. Includes rides, race support, basic training schedule, kit, and discounts at the Boulder Cycle Sport.

Road Developmental Teams

Developmental I, More experienced, Ages 10-18

Developmental II, Beginner, Ages 10-13

Training and Racing Level: Moderate

Level of Commitment required: Moderate

Number of Team Races: 10.

Training Days: Mondays & Wednesdays After-School during school year. In Summer, Wednesday ride will switch to mornings

Begins: April

Ends: Mid August

Cost: Approximately $500. Includes rides, race support, race instruction by attending Coaches, Jersey, and discounts at the Boulder Cycle Sport.

Mountain Bike Program

Stagiaire (Competitive, Traveling) Team

Ages: 14 -19

Pro Team Affiliation: Tokyo Joe’s

Training and Racing Level: High. Riders race at Cat 2 or higher in USAC races.

Level of Commitment required: High

Number of Team Races: 6. May include at least one out of state race in Angel Fire New Mexico. Attendance at Nationals in Sun Valley, Idaho is encouraged. Many of the races are in at ski resorts such as Crested Butte or Steamboat and require a full weekend commitment. Team will rent a condo.

Training Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays After school during school year (4-6 pm). In Summer, rides will switch to mornings (9- 11 or 1pm)

Begins: March 6 (There is also a Spring Break trip to Moab, cost not included in season fees)

Ends: August 9

Cost: Approximately $875. Includes rides, race coaching (one/month), basic training schedule, 2 kits, and discounts at the Boulder Trek Store. (Travel and lodging costs are not included in program fees).

MTB Developmental Teams

Developmental I, More experienced or older, Ages 14-19

Developmental II, Beginner or younger, Ages 10-14

Training and Racing Level: Moderate

Level of Commitment required: Moderate

Number of Team Races: 6, A minimum of two Cross Country Races (Winter Park, Steamboat etc ) the balance of the races are Boulder Short Track races

Training Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays. After-School during school year. In Summer, rides will switch to mornings

Full Session- Begins: April 10, Ends: August 9, Cost:$650

Session A: 8 weeks April 10 -May 31, Cost: $320

Session B: 10 weeks, June 5 – August 9, Cost: $390

Full Session Cost: Approximately $650. Includes rides, race support, race instruction by attending Coaches, Jersey, and discounts at the Boulder Trek Store.
